Elizabeth felt chills run down her back as she considered the ramifications of Nancy being pregnant. Of course, she’d known that Richard had raped her, but now there was evidence. Maybe.
Jenny looked at Nancy and asked her how long it had been since her last menstruation. Nancy shrugged. She said, “I don’t know. I normally don’t pay attention to such things…”
Jenny frowned and she turned to Amber. She said, “Go get one of the extra pregnancy tests. We need to figure this out as soon as possible.”
Elizabeth shuddered and her whole body began to tremble. Things were progressing too fast. She couldn't think about the possibility of Nancy being pregnant. If she was though, she reminded herself that a baby could be taken care of.
