William and Lucy were strolling through the garden when they heard a strange sound. Lucy heard the sound first and commented on it: “Did you hear that?”
In her hand, she held a flower that William had given her. William was walking slightly behind her. He shrugged and told her to relax, but she didn’t know if she could. Whatever she had heard, it had made her uncomfortable. It had turned her arms to gooseflesh and she shivered.
The sound came again and Lucy said, “There it is again!”
William wrapped his arms around her and said, “I didn’t hear anything.”
Lucy: "The sound was really strange. I can’t believe that you didn't hear it…"
At that moment, Steven and Jenny, who were hidden in the foliage, had noticed the couple and gone completely silent.
William: "I heard nothing. Maybe it was just ……
