As William rummaged through the drawer, he said, "Before you say anything, there is something that I need to say first.”
William closed the drawer, sat down on the bed, and then he stretched out on it and invited Lucy to lie down beside him. Lucy smiled, lay down beside him, and rested her head on his chest. William put his arm around Lucy and whispered into her ear: "I changed my mind. You go first."
Lucy propped herself up on her elbows so that she could face William. She took a breath and then she said, “I want to go back to work.
