Lucy looked closely at the ring William had offered her. As a centerpiece, it looked phenomenal. There was a small golden flower with five tiny petals. Imbedded into each petal laid a bed of pink diamonds and, once Lucy had gotten a good look at the ring, William produced its twin which had been fitted for a man. It was a little bit wider, and the flower was actually carved into the ring.
On the inside of both rings, there was writing carved into them. At the moment though, Lucy was so overcome with emotion, that she was unable to read the fine print. With tears in her eyes, Lucy said, “I can see that you went to great lengths to procure this, which leads me to believe that you are being sincere; so, I forgive you and look forward to rebuilding our lives together.”
