As the evening started, the group mingled and played games that Garry had arranged. They sang songs, entered into raffles, and played cards; all the while, they drank. Obviously, everyone knows that there is nothing like alcohol to reduce a person’s inhibitions, so that was everyone’s first priority.
Just as the night was getting going, Byron and Christina walked through the door, and all eyes turned in their direction. Everyone knew who they were, but there weren’t many who were happy to see them. Byron hadn’t even been one of their classmates. Back when Lucy was in school, she’d dated him, so he didn’t even have the right to be there.
When Lucy had been in school, she’d brought Byron to all the parties. Lucy thought that he should have known better than to have come to this one though.……
