Dinner was still cooking when William arrived home from work. By then, Lucy had finished unpacking the make-up and she was relaxing on the couch. Seeing William at the door, Lucy welcomed him, took his coat, and offered him his slippers. She was doing what she assumed any good wife or mother would do in a healthy relationship.
William wasn’t used to such submissive behavior from Lucy and it confused him. William touched Lucy's head and wondered, "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing," Lucy smiled as she pulled William into a warm embrace. "I just missed you!"
William didn’t know how to react to that. Of course, there was nothing wrong with a woman missing her man or wanting to take care of him, but it wasn’t what he was used to – and a part of him wo……
