Chandler, Lucy, and Avril turned to look at the door as they were joined by Jenny, Steven, and Vivian. “Wow,” Lucy exclaimed, “So many visitors. I feel loved!”
Chandler looked at Lucy with concern in his eyes and said, “Maybe there are too many people here. You need your rest. I propose that everyone leave except myself and maybe one other person.”
Jenny laughed. “How presumptuous of you,” she said. “If anyone is to leave, I think you should be the first to go. After all, you are Vivian’s brother. What business could you possibly have in Lucy’s private room?”
Chandler looked at Jenny and scowled. “I too care about Lucy’s well being,” he replied. “I am not my sister, so please don’t judge me by her actions and attitude.”
