When Vivian heard that she would be sleeping next to William, she couldn’t believe her ears. She wanted to jump up and clap her hands but, somehow, she maintained her composure.
Elizabeth looked at William and said, “It may not work out. I haven’t talked to William about this. I am concerned that it could distract him from his work. His office is right across from his old study, and he values the quiet. "William, what do you think? If we put Vivian in your old study, would that be a problem?”
William didn’t even look up when he said, “It won’t be a problem. It is as Lucy said earlier; she won’t be here for very long. If Lucy is truly okay with it, then I am also.”
Elizabeth turned to Lucy and asked her what she thought.
“It is fine,” Lucy repl……
