Vivian raised an eyebrow. "Summoned makes it sound like I outrank you."

She smiled faintly and tossed him a sheaf of parchment. "Then read. It's the cross-sector grain records we spoke about. Fen’s drawn out the discrepancies—look here, and here."
Harroway unfolded the map and leaned over the central table. His expression darkened. "That’s deliberate funneling. Someone’s creating scarcity to raise costs in the court districts."
"Someone in the Ministry," said Marcelline, stepping in with a new document. "We can’t trace it cleanly, but the pattern aligns with past corruption threads."-----
