I held the ring up. “Not exactly.” Rain was hammering now, making it hard to hear anything else. “Find Wren. Tell her we’re not the only ones sending letters tonight.”
He squinted at the crest. “That’s foreign.”
“Yeah,” I said, slipping it into my coat. “Which means someone crossed a border to give me this — and whatever it says, it’s not polite.”.....
