3.5 The Day The Heart Flew

Writing class was fun mainly because Michael didn’t need to study. English was the class where they learned to write, really, while writing was the class where they learned to be artistic about it. It was all about explaining words, summarizing stories, writing synopses for movies or books. It was fun and interesting while being unexpectedly as time-consuming as any other subject. A lot of work, but no studying.

Running turned out to be a waste. None of the other two speedsters had picked track, so Michael had no real competition, which is why he kept considering changing to something else. However, it was hard to let go of a subject he could effortlessly excel at. Plus, if he did, the school would have no speedster to represent it in case it ever competed against other super schools.
