The campus was uncharacteristically silent, and yet very justifiably now that he knew what was going on. Michael pulled out his own phone, which was connected to the school’s Wi-Fi, and promptly started getting properly appraised about the situation.
As quickly as he could, Michael sifted through the click-bait titles and their one-sentence elaborations, seeking to find out the sequence of events that had led to the destruction he saw.
Essentially, two empowered individuals had started fighting. Their first encounter had taken place at a convenience store in Sydney.
One of them was stealing some money from it, and the other one intervened. Thinking about it, that was likely the first time Michael had heard of an empowered vigilante going against another empowered.
