Michael had gone through so much that he didn’t even question Billy about his intents or plans. He was so desperate he would resort to blind faith in Billy, who didn’t even remember his name, just because he looked like he knew what he was doing.
Billy led him away from the crowd and headed to the building proper, and by then, Michael had messaged Eleanor. And from there, Billy walked straight to the Principal’s office.
They knocked and found out that Hargrave had not yet returned, so Billy turned and sat on the ground next to the door.
He took a bored breath.
The waiting brought back Michael’s sense of responsibility and concern. He faced Billy and forced himself to ask what he didn’t want to, because he should. “Uhm. What are we going to do?”
Billy glanced up at him, and then back down.
