Three years after a child first manifested supernatural abilities, which was around a year after Michael and Lily won their competition, the National Security Agency of the United States publicly announced the foundation of their psionic division. It would focus on studying the brain patterns that describe thought with the specific intent of identifying them, much as we might do with teeth or fingerprints.
One would expect the public to be nervous, if not outright resistant.
However, in general, the public was actually relieved.
Half a year later, laws passed in the state of Texas on mind tampering and thought inception. In summary, these stated that if two or more individuals, the victims, testified to such things happening, and then the newly introduced psy-scann……
