To say the students of Northeast High were downtrodden was to optimistically regard the mood around the school. Still, different people react to a somber and hopeless reality in different ways.
“Right, tired of laying around like this!”
The yell woke up Miracle from her nap. Cautiously, her eyes opened, and her head pulled back from Felix’s shoulder. She brushed her eyes and yawned.
“Oh,” Miracle said disappointingly. “What woke me?”
They all pointed at the girl trying to get her two friends to stand up and come with. Looking, Michael recognized it was the girl who could shoot light beams.
“Ugh,” Miracle reacted, letting her head drop back on Felix. “Stupid Rachel.”
“Why are you so tired, Em? Not sleeping?” Lily asked.
“Hm? No,” she said, yawning again. “Made a bit too many clones. Tires me out w……
