With the summer vacations now in full effect, Michael no longer had to go to school, which in turn meant being well away from Maya.
It was a blessing.
Michael went back to sleeping well again, and within a couple of days, he slowly became accustomed to the absence of Maya’s voice. Without noticing, he returned to a state of mind where he wasn’t dreading her interference every passing moment, and that heavily influenced his mood. Fully liberated, his competitive spirit returned full force, fueling his desire to train harder.
They had been given only a week before flying out to Europe to participate in the Super Olympics, which included the tournaments.
Preparing for them meant seeing more of Lily than Eleanor.
Every day, Michael would wake up, warm-up, and then practice fighting forms he had lea……
