The moon hung low in the night sky, casting an ethereal glow over the secluded woods that cradled my cottage. A sense of urgency propelled me forward as I entered the familiar space. My fingers traced the spines of ancient grimoires lining the shelves until they settled on the one I sought. It creaked open, revealing yellowed pages filled with arcane symbols and incantations.
