I awoke with a start, my heart pounding against my ribs, echoes of Damian's voice still haunting my mind. His sinister whispers about his child, our child, lingered in the air, leaving a trail of dread. The nightmare had become a cruel reality as the first waves of contractions gripped me.
In the safety of Tyler's arms, the pain seemed to ease, his presence a reassuring anchor amidst the storm. The urgent rush to the hospital blurred into a series of surreal moments, and before I knew it, I was whisked into a private suite – Luna privileges, they called it.
The sterile scent of the hospital surrounded me as I lay on the bed, the beeping of monitors a constant reminder of the delicate dance between life and the unknown. Tyler's worry-lined face mirrored the concern……
