Tyler, with his trademark smirk, seemed unfazed by the tension. Jackson, the mediator, followed, providing a buffer between the conflicting energies of Tyler and I.
"Make yourselves at home," I said, gesturing toward the chairs in front of my desk. "I'll join you shortly."
As I closed the door, I took a deep breath, attempting to compose myself. Tyler's methods were effective, but the brutality of his interrogations always made me uneasy. However, the situation demanded urgency, and I knew Tyler's unique set of skills might be the key to unraveling the mystery surrounding the rogue.
