The night air was thick with celebration, the echoes of joyous cheers lingering like the sweetest melody. As I stood among the revelers, a genuine smile played on my lips, a facade concealing the tumult of emotions within. Danielle, radiant in her dark blue dress, shared an intimate moment with Tyler, sealing their commitment with a kiss. The crowd erupted in jubilation, celebrating the union of their fated mates.
I couldn't deny the happiness that swirled through the air, the infectious joy that enveloped the newly-mated couple. I was genuinely happy for them, for the love that had conquered the shadows of their past. Yet, beneath the surface of my elation, a persistent ache lingered—a pang of jealousy that clawed at the edges of my heart.
