As I watched Luke and Danielle engage in easy banter, a nagging sensation of jealousy crept over me. I couldn't pinpoint when this emotion had become a part of the mix, but it was undeniable. Perhaps it was the possessive side of my nature surfacing, a side I hadn't been aware of until now.
Leaning against a tree, contemplating the unfamiliar surge of envy. Tyler Draven never got jealous, or so I liked to believe, but there I was, feeling a twinge of it. It was time to lay my cards on the table, to be honest with myself and with them.
Walking back toward the group, I interrupted their conversation with a casual smirk. "Well, well, if it isn't the happy duo. Missed something exciting, didn't I?"
