The night had been one giant frustration, a twisted game of hide-and-seek with no winner in sight. Hours of fruitless searching in the dark, cursing under my breath as Danielle remained a phantom, tucked away with the hybrid duo—Damian and Dahlia. The dawn brought no relief, just a bitter reminder that our leading lady was still in the clutches of the supernatural troublemakers.
Sleep was a distant memory, and my cabin felt more like a cage as I lay there, tossing and turning. The images of Danielle, captive to the whims of that bloodsucker, played on a loop in my mind. Determination tangled with anger, a volatile mix pushing me to rise before the sun, as if the early morning could hold answers that the night couldn't provide.
