Elena whispered, "Are you still unable to forgive... that they abandon you? Do you hate them?"
Charles was now full of surprise. Why did Elena keep asking these questions?
"I don't know why they abandoned me, so I can't say I will forgive them or not." Charles said faintly. "I am not used to hating others. Hating a person will drain my energy. And, what if they had their difficulties at that time?”
Elena was quietly thinking. Charles meant that they could be forgiven if they abandoned him for hardship. The Flores family sold their children in poverty. Should that be counted as a hardship for Charles? Anyway, Elena would not forgive them.
