“You need to have an X-ray.” He explained.
Elena looked at her fingers. "Don’t bother. It is not serious. I checked them when it happened.”
“Your diagnosis is better than an X-ray?” Charles asked.
Elena was left speechless. “Charles, do not make a fuss over nothing. I can deal with that.”
Charles ignored her refusal and said, “Like we did before, chose one; you want me to hold you up or carry you on my back?”
“I hurt my hand not my foot.” Elena was slighted angered.
“Then follow me.” Charles said.
Elena followed him up the stairs to the hospital. Charles let her get a few steps ahead of him so he could admire her from behind.
It was better for her to be angry rather than feel depressed like she was. At least, she seemed to be somewhat cheerier.
