Victoria sighed, she was grateful for the help and she thought they could be friends, may she could even take Elena out for lunch. However, after finding out who Elena was that would not be possible.
Elena was not a person she could be friends with, she did not want others to misunderstand and believe that was being nice to Elena for any reason other than she wanted to be her friend. She had to find an opportunity in the future to return the favor.
The alcohol had made Elena tired and she fell asleep in the lounge of Charles’ office. Fortunately, the fruit wine was not that strong and she woke up at lunch, just in time to eat with Charles.
Noticing that Elena was not so happy, Charles asked her, “Are you still uncomfortable?”
