“Sorry, I don’t know…” Elena looked a little overwhelmed.
Charles’s adoptive father was also her biological father but she was not prepared for him to say that.
“Don’t worry,” he whispered. “I didn’t mention it to you.”
Charles gently held her hand as they got into the car. Elena’s palm was cold as she was nervous.
He stretched out his arm to gently embrace her.
Surrounded by his familiar, tender aura, Elena sucked in a deep breath and gradually calmed down. Although she had heard a lot about her parents from Charles, she was really not well-prepared to meet them.
She wouldn’t even meet them, she would meet their graves. She didn’t know how to face them.
