DECLAN’S POV

I was surprised to find Raina at the door. I thought she had gone to bed.

It was only after I had walked Leia out of the front door that I realized that I hadn’t even bothered to check on Raina when I came down. I felt awkward, there was a strange sensation in me. One that told me that I needed to explain what our meeting was about to Raina…there was an urge to clear the air, that nothing had actually happened…I didn’t know what that sensitivity was, but I knew I had to ignore it. I saw the look of utter disappointment in Raina’s eyes and that set my thoughts into a pondering action, what was that look?

There was nothing between us, she knew that. I had made it clear several times, even if I didn’t, I was confident I had hinted at it…so why did she have that hurt expres……
