Had I known I’d have been Alpha Declan’s slave for the day, I’d have found a way to dodge this bullet. Or was it a missile?

“Where are we going?” I managed to ask after I exited the breakfast room with him.

I was more timid than usual, a little terrified after last night. I knew it was all my fault, if he was going to punish me for that, then I was willing to accept responsibility and take it. Little did I know that Declan’s mind was actually the devil’s workshop.

“Work.” He replied huskily, leading the way out of the house without even sparing me a glance.

We got to the garage and a guard was already stationed there, he looked smart and pumped for the day, a complete opposite of my energy.

“Get into the carriage.” Alpha Declan ordered. Yes, ordered, he wasn’t asking.
