CHAPTER 20

DECLAN’S POV

“So, let me get this straight,” Claus said, pointing a finger at my chest with his head down while he spoke. “You’re gonna go clubbing, yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“And probably hook up with one of…you know, the regulars.” He said and looked at me with an arched eyebrow. “Yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“And you’re probably gonna f**k. Yeah?”

I nodded in affirmation and got off my chair. I placed the folder I had been looking at on my desk and picked my coat from the hangar behind me.

“All while Raina, your mate, is currently injured from a mistake or rather, a miscalculation you made?” He queried and again I nodded with a little grunt. “That’s absurd, Declan. How typical of you.”

I didn’t respond, I locked my drawers and threw the key under a pile of books. I arranged my shirt and looked around the room……
