Back inside the villa, both Eve and Lily sat in silence after James left. Lily could not believe her fiancé had left her behind for another woman. What Bella had done was like a slap in the face. And now Eve seemed to be mocking her as well. Lily clenched her fists under the table. Her fingernails bit deep into her flesh, though at that moment she could not feel any pain.
Eve also clenched her teeth. She couldn’t understand how Bella, who was clearly a b***h, was so important to James. After a moment’s silence, Eve adjusted herself and turned to look at Lily, who by now had gone rather pale.
