Lily meanwhile, was not ready to give up just yet. She went back home and told her parents everything; complaining tearfully to them about the treatment she’d received.
Since she would clearly not get the approval from James’ mother and sister, Lily decided she would have to marry James by any means necessary. She was confident that after they were married, she could succeed in winning James’ love.
Moreover, she believed James was not so serious about Bella. Lily felt herself better than Bella in every respect. It was only a matter of time till James realised that too.
