“What happened?” Lily asked.
Lily’s question made James stop in his tracks. He hesitated for a second,“I have something important to take care of right now. I’ll see you later.”
James walked quickly away to try and catch up with Tom.
Lily was saddened by James’ behavior but she was glad she’d come. Of courseher presence there was not a coincidence.
Eve had finally accepted that she couldn’t be with James. So, not wantingBella to succeed where she’d failed, Eve called Lily to tell her what was goingon.
Though Lily hated Eve for her snobbery, she did what Eve asked in the calland went to the college to find James.
What was so good about Bella? Lily was irritated. She didn’t understand whyTom and James treated Bella in such a spec……
