“My god, Lance! What happened to you!?”
She was close to falling down the stairs just to get close to her brother who is covered in blood and bruises. He entered the house, losing his footing and with clothes torn. If she has not seen him coming to the lodging by the window on her room, the servant would not open the door for him immediately.
The servants were in disarray as to what they shall do to him. They offered their support but they looked at her for what to do next.
"Take him to the drawing-room!" she yelled, pissed at their behavior.
Jane was the only one who is calm enough to take items from the kitchen to clean his wounds. After lying him down on the long couch, the maid immediately attended to him. Thankfully, there is only one bruise on his face, just by his right cheek, or ……
