Lance cannot remember the time wherein he has put himself first before others. Ever since he was a kid, the parents he grew up to always remind him that he is not a priority. He is constantly behind Stephen and Amanda has always been overindulged among the three of them. He is always the last, sometimes never even thought of.
The last to have a new set of clothes, the last to take food from the platter, last for everything. But he is grateful for what he has. At a young age, he understood that no matter how much you want for someone else’s affection, there is no assurance that they could return the same feeling.
