The man was waiting on a report about Madison. He hoped he'd receive it while he was here. He needed to know what he was dealing with during this case. Not one to go into anything blind, he'd asked his superior for a copy of her file. Or at least an overview.
She must be working for the government, but he wanted to know what branch. He cursed himself for not asking for the report before now.
The sun was peeking above the horizon when they left the airport. Madison led him to a car parked right outside. The man had followed. And in Farsi, he asked Madison something.
She nodded and spoke back to him. Without an accent.
He'd heard Farsi enough to know that she didn't have an accent. She wouldn't know that about him. She doubted she had clearance enough to have read his whole file.
