Julie found it odd that someone would break into her house. She lived a very simple life and didn’t really have anything valuable to steal. She returned to her seat and apologized to everyone. She had no choice but to leave early. William offered to drive her home but was refused. “Stay,” she said. “I can get home on my own. There is no reason for us both to miss out on the celebrations.”
