Julie blinked, her face full of puzzlement. “What? A professional killer?!”
“Last night, you said you wanted to hire a professional killer,” Thompson said. Julie almost fell down from her chair. Had she really said that last night? She must have been drunk, and shouldn’t be taken seriously!
“Lord Thompson, please don’t take my words seriously, when I’m half-dreaming. I was very sleepy and didn’t know what I was saying. Besides, is there anyone else more qualified than you in Seattle to be a killer?” Julie fawned, but felt that something was wrong, once she had finished.
Either way, Thompson was delighted that Julie didn’t still want to hire a professional killer to kill ……
