Once they were safe, Anna asked Julie if the attack was personal.
“At first it wasn’t,” Julie replied, “but then Ken recognized be, and it became personal. He had once tried to rape me, but I got away. From what he said in there, it seems to me that it is safe to say that he wants a second chance to rape me. Now that he knows I am in the area, he will probably send some of his men after me, so we need to find somewhere safe to go until all of this all cools down.”
Fannie had only met Julie a few times but she thought very highly of her, and she worried about her safety. Once Ken and his men were “subdued” she went with Nate to see if she was in. When she was told that Julie wasn’t, she became even more concerned.
