Thompson woke up first, naturally opening his eyes to the bright sunlight filtering through the window. Looking down, he saw Julie snuggled up to him still sound asleep. He smiled when he heard that Julie was softly snoring. Brushing his thumb over her cheek, Thompson leaned down and kissed her soft cheek, still warm from being snuggled against him.
Julie shifted at the touch and her eyes fluttered open to Thompson’s smiling face.
“Good morning beautiful,” Thompson softly whispered while stroking her curly hair.
“Your hair is very much like you.”
“Beautiful?” Julie asked smiling mischievously.
“Stubborn.” Thompson replied seriously trying hard to hide his smirk.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Julie was embarrassed at the penetrating gaze of Thompson.
