Empty threats

Bella's POV

I was shocked at his words, but at the same time, I was frightened. The anger on his face and the way he expressed those threats meant he meant every word of it, and the thought of that scared me. But what made matters even worse was my dream that had woken me up. In my dream, I saw Mother lying lifeless in a pool of her blood, and despite waking up and realizing that it was a dream, I still couldn’t shake off the feeling of fear inside me.

“My dear, you are awake,” Mother hurried toward the stairs and held my hand. She looked so worried and concerned. “How are you? Do you still feel weak or dizzy?” She asked, but I only shook my head and looked at Alpha Peterson. He seemed furious and just walked out.

“Come on, let’s go back to your room,” Mother urged and led me back to my room.……
