Darin's POV
We watched as she followed the guards who carried the dead body of her mother. With a throbbing heart, I stared at the blood of Bella's mom in my hand, and then I looked at Darwin, who was also staring at his hands.
Terrified, we looked at father and could see his eyes burning with anger and pain, and the sight of that scared me. “Father, we didn’t do it,” Darwin spoke, and I gulped. “We were walking past the garden when we heard her loud scream, and we rushed towards the direction of the shout. When we arrived at the garden, we found her on the floor, in a pool of her blood, gasping for air. Just then, Bella walked in on us and misunderstood the whole thing,” Darwin explained further, and my heart pounded in my chest. It was obvious that Dad wouldn't believe us; we had threatene……
