Regrets

Bella's POV

My words got stuck in my mouth.

“Bella, what did you do?” Darwin grunted, fear evident in his eyes, but I couldn’t say a word. I watched him quickly close his eyes as he tried to make a mind link to Alpha Darin, but then I noticed a big frown spread across his face. “s**t! He is not connecting.” Alpha Darwin grunted, his hand running through his hair.

“Mate!” My wolf howled in discomfort, and suddenly, a sharp pain struck my heart. I exclaimed in pain, noticing Darwin also exclaiming in discomfort as he held on to his chest.

“Darin!” he yelled out, and my eyes widened. The pain we both felt was a sign of something wrong with Alpha Darin.

Alpha Darwin ran out of the mansion, and I followed him. “Guards, get into the car!” he yelled at the guards, who nodded quickly and went for the c……
