The tension immediately flared between Jessica and Roger. She tried to clench herself away from his grip. As soon as her fingers touched his powerful wrist, Evan, who was sleeping in the next room, began to cry as if he were in pain and shouted, "Mom! Mom!"
Roger immediately let Jessica go and scrambled back. He looked around; he thought Evan had seen him grab his mother like that. They both rushed into the bedroom in a hurry, already forgetting about their quarrel just now. There was a sour smell coming from the room. It was Evan; he had vomited!
Evan was crying heavily and he felt relieved seeing Jessica. "Mom, I am sick, my tummy hurts!" Evan groaned loudly.
Jessica picked up Evan and……
