“We’ve made a terrible mistake!” Vanessa turned around and cried out frantically. “Irene Wilson is the last member of the cult!”
“Do you know this woman?” Mortimer asked.
“I do. We let her go...”
“I knew I shouldn’t have trusted a damn witch!” Mortimer screamed in rage, his eyes filled with mad hatred.
“It wasn’t her fault. I am the one responsible,” David said. “I was the one who found Irene. She was holding a baby in her hands. I thought she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.”
“I told you to kill whoever you find behind these doors! Nothing we did matters now. It’s all over. If she summons Balan, no one on earth can stand up to his might. You are not worthy of being called a Reaper! You just want to play the good guy!” Mortimer rebuked him with severity.
