Brooke glanced back longingly one more time at the suite she'd spent a night in. She'd never slept on sheets so luxurious. She'd taken a bath in a tub larger than her bathroom and then she'd wrapped herself in a fluffy robe.
It was a night she would remember forever.
Too bad she had to go back to reality in her dumpy apartment. Her ransacked and dumpy apartment, which made her shudder. She wished she could get a publishing contract and get out of there. She didn't have the skills to make millions of dollars other than her writing, which hadn't been taking off.
She sighed and closed the door behind her. Time to get back to real life. She hadn't heard from Paige, and her roommate didn't need to deal with their apartment alone. Thankfully Brooke didn't need to go to work until later.
