Elena's POV

I woke up in a thick sweat, there was an alarm blasting loudly though out the house. Everything was dark. Someone gripped me, making my heart stop. I had my fist clenched, ready to defend myself.

"Elena.'' Declan whispered in the darkness. A sense of calm washed over me as he pulled me up.

"What's going on, what time is it?'' It was pitch back everywhere.Declan pulled me up with him, I had my legs wrapped around his waist as he started walking with me. I couldn't see a thing, I thought I was blind. Was this another nightmare?

"We have intruders.'' He let out.

"My mom, is my mother..''

"Your mother was taken back home by your father, Elena. She's safe.'' He answered. I closed my eyes and lay my head on his lap. I heard movement coming from somwhere, but……
