Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been afraid of my father’s fury. It would give me nightmares. Alexxi was always there. Reading me bedtime stories and reminding me that Dad’s anger over the little mistakes I made would fade.

Now, he’s nowhere to be seen, and I’m all alone, faced with this problem.
