**Elena’s POV**
The second I rushed into the forest in an attempt to run from my mate, I bumped into a hard body and fell back.
I looked up, and someone was stretching his hand out to help me up. Feeling a little confused, I took it, and he pulled me up. My body bumped into his, and his hand swerved around my waist, pressing me against him.
“Easy there, darling, where do you think you’re going?” I looked up to see Declan’s brother, Daniel. He and I had only met once; I had barely seen him at the battle home.
Without much thought, I swung a punch at him but missed terribly, making him grip my hand and chuckle.
“That is always a bad idea, Elena, remember?” He raised a brow and brought his face close to mine. I tried to push him back, wiggling in his arms. I hated how he tou……
