Eddie was taking a bath, then there was rapping on the door and she heard Stuart's deep voice outside. "I don't know why you're so upset with me. What did I do?" he said, his voice faint as if the room had snatched his breath away.
Eddie was trembling and upset. "You should know what you did," she said, gathering her courage to speak to him.
"I don't like it when you're upset with me." When Stuart spoke his voice was soft and vaguely hoarse. "I'm sorry for what I did," he says, his voice so magnetic.
Eddie was still mad, but she shook her head and started to laugh. "He has no idea what he's apologizing for and he sounds so sincere. Stuart might be intelligent, but sometimes he' so naive when it comes to women," she said to herself with a hint of annoyance in her voice. She quickly fini……
