The staff immediately gathered around Annie and asked with concern in their voices, "Miss Annie, are you all right?"
She turned her pale face and shook her head, "my stomach hurts."
"How could that be? Where does it hurt?"
"It's right here in my stomach."
"Did you eat anything unusual today?"
Annie thought for a moment, she opened her eyes wide and then froze. She suddenly started pointing her fingers through the crowd. Then she pointed straight at Hicks, "It was you! Hicks! You poisoned the water, didn't you?"
With a puzzled look on her face, Hicks raised her head.
"I wouldn't do such a thing, Annie. Why do you think it's me?"
"You gave me the water. I got a stomachache after I drank it."
